Kind of forgot about my blog. I have used Facebook mainly. But I am getting more frustrated with FB every week. It went from a "comment and post pictures with friends" and "check out my hand made stuff for sale" to an online mall where you might occasionally see your friends amongst the big commercial enterprises. FB now requires small group pages, like mine, to pay for the privilege of being seen. Big companies, like Target and Colgate, have no problem paying 5 to $10 a day to promote their posts. My dance group doesn't make any money, and my etsy shop barely scrapes by - I don't make 5 - $10 a week in profit even. So the posts are suppressed. Since having friends read and recommend posts is the lifeline of small pages like mine, the future looks pretty bleak.
If you want to help my small pages out - like them and share them with friends. Since about 1% of people who like the pages now get the posts, the more that like, the better!

The latest FB nasty? If you are willing to pay $1 for each, any messages you send will go directly into the individual's message account, instead of being filtered through the "others" file. What this means is that a big company can now pay to spam our FB message accounts.
